This morning, Hasselblad announced the XV lens adapter, which allows the use of roughly 60 lenses from the company’s older V System (C, CB, CF, CFI, CFE, F and FE lenses) with the current X1D-50C camera. When adapted, the V lenses use the camera’s electronic shutter rather than leaf-shutters.

If you’re ready to buy one, you don’t have to wait. The adapter is available now for a price of $250 USD, or €199. However, Hasselblad shooter are probably aware that similar adapters already exist, such as the Fotodiox Pro HB-HB(xcd) for about $100 less.
