Barcelona (L&M) – Dozens of men and women marched through the streets of Barcelona, Spain, on Wednesday, carrying banners and shouting slogans, protesting what they believe to be the authoritarian policies of the Spanish government. At the same time, at least two banks suffered superficial damage, with glass doors and windows being cracked or completely smashed out. Although one bystander reported that the bank damage was caused by “la manifestacion”, we can’t confirm that the protesters pictures here were involved, or whether a separate group was responsible.
L&M correspondent Alfred Lopez was given a pamphlet outlining the protesters’ grievances.
